Lisa shares with us a personal donor story
Let me share with you a personal donor story that came about through using Hatch. A potential donor of ours mentioned an upcoming several week adventure and vacation. Clearly this trip was something that he was passionate about. One morning, while engaging with Hatch, I happened to notice in the ‘Celebrations and Holidays’ section on Hatch Live, that it was a day to celebrate exactly this type of adventure. I sent a quick text to this donor to acknowledge the day and wish him well. Fast forward through several months, one annual campaign letter and a lunch meeting. I’m thrilled to say that this donor just made a considerable five figure donation to our non-profit independent school.
These are the types of connections and relationships that fuel donors. Truth be told, I have very little experience with resource development professionally. I have always played more of a supporting role than an outward facing development officer. Not only has Hatch provided the insight for our team to make the connections, the software has sparked the confidence in our staff to start reaching out, making the connections and paving the way for a more meaningful ask.
If your team needs a push to take the data and forge deeper conversations, I recommend you take a look at Hatch. It is about more than just collecting donations, it is about cultivating the relationships that make long term development a success.
